Treebate and WA Tree Recovery Programs - rebate information for the community

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) has recently launched two urban greening initiatives: Treebate and WA Tree Recovery Program .  These       residential rebates are new programs offering Western Australians a $150 rebate for planting a tree on their private property.

Over the next four years, up to 10,000 residents a year can claim a cash rebate up to $150 on the purchase of a native tree under Treebate – a $6.9 million initiative open to all   residents across the State aged over 18 years.

For Western Australians impacted by Polyphagous shot-hole borer, the $7.2 million WA Tree Recovery Program is offering rebates to replace trees lost to the invasive beetle.   Eligible landowners can claim up to $150 for every tree removed under the authorisation of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development as a result of PSHB.

Both rebates can be claimed through the Service WA app or via postal and webform platforms.

Urban greening is about increasing and improving the quantity and quality of green and cooler spaces across our State.
