Building Plan Searches

The Shire of Peppermint Grove retains copies of construction approvals including permit conditions and endorsed plans. Due to the passage of time and previous records handling practices historical approvals may not be held.

The Shire's records are in the process of being digitised to protect their integrity, improve the visibility of documents held, and expedite the processing of 'plan search' applications. Digitisation is expected to be completed in 2024. 

Applications can be made to search for construction approvals and provide copies of associated endorsed plans that can assist when preparing new applications and for due diligence purposes, such as confirming whether development on your property is approved or accords with its approval(s).

Application fees for plan searches are non-refundable and are based on the likely volume and complexity of plans that may be held. Searches for properties containing a single house or as part of a duplex or triplex complex attract as lower fee than searches for commercial properties or properties containing larger grouped dwelling complexes or for multiple dwellings. Documents are delivered via link as a PDF and can also be provided as a hard copy. Additional copying charges can apply should you require printed copies of documents.
